Meet pressure with more choice.
Understand how your body, breathing and state respond to changing demands. Then become more adaptable in what you do next.
Readiness is not about staying calm.
It is about noticing what is happening, understanding your response and knowing when to allow it, support it or intentionally influence it.
Most people try to fix their state before they understand it. Readiness starts the other way around. You learn how your breathing, body and state respond to pressure, fatigue, focus and recovery. Then you train the flexibility to shift between activation and recovery when the moment asks for it.
The goal is not to learn more techniques. It is to understand your own responses and make better choices.
Two studio sessions a week. Same six people. Six weeks.
Readiness session
The core of the week. The week's theme, guided breathing, reflection and follow up on how the last week went. Time to go deep and to work with your individual responses.
Breath / Movement
Building on Tuesday. Depending on the week it is deeper breathing work that extends the Readiness session, or the week's theme taken into the body through movement. Often both.
A closed container
Every one of the 12 sessions is built for this group and this progression. No drop ins and no regular classes mixed in. The same six people start together and finish together.
Each week builds on the last
Notice
See what is happening before you try to change it.
Experience
Feel how you respond as demand changes.
Connect
Link breathing, body and movement.
Shift
Influence your state when it is useful.
Adapt
Respond to what the moment requires.
Integrate
Take it into your own everyday life.
Walking. Working. Training. Recovering. Preparing for something important.
Between sessions you take three questions with you into the week:
What is happening?
What does this moment require?
Do I need to change anything?
You see what changed
We start and finish with your Hale Breath Profile, so you can compare where you began with where you ended up after six weeks.
Each week you also do a short check in tied to that week's focus. It helps you follow your own progress and notice patterns, and it tells us where you are so we can support you in the right way.
The point of testing is insight, not performance.
What you leave with
Not a collection of techniques. A better understanding of yourself.
- You notice your state earlier
- You understand your own patterns under pressure, fatigue and focus
- You can shift between activation and calm through your breath
- You connect breathing with movement and body awareness
- You respond with more choice
Who leads it
Mahdi Hamidi
Leads the six core Readiness sessions. He holds the progression week to week and follows up on each participant's development.
Johnny Oduya
Leads the six Thursday sessions. A former NHL player, Johnny developed the Hale method and trains Hale's breath coaches.
Who it is for
For people who want to handle stress better, recover more effectively and build a stronger connection between breath, body and behaviour. You do not need any breathwork experience. It is also structured enough for people who already train their breathing and want to go deeper.
It asks for commitment. Two sessions a week for six weeks. If that does not fit right now, there will be a new group in the spring.
