Breathing for the athletes you coach.
From breathwork essentials to capnography. A professional training in how to read, test and program breathing for the people you train. Part of the Hale Breath Coach Certification.

You plan the training. Nobody is reading the breath.
Athletes often arrive at a session not ready. They are not present and have no awareness of what their breathing is doing to them.
That shapes what you can do with them in the session and how well they recover afterwards. Most coaches don't see these signs. Very few have a framework for what they mean or what to do about them.
The Athletic Breath course lets you work on this layer too, including psychophysiology and breathing habits.
How the course is built
You start with Foundations and Guiding Essentials side by side, self-paced over four weeks with a support community alongside. Then four weeks of the Athletic course with live calls on Monday evenings, followed by two weeks of Advanced Athletic.
Foundations
A broad understanding of breathwork and breathing. Techniques and tools you can apply and use for yourself. You breathe through the Hale concept classes on the training platform and in the Hale app.
When a group of coaches starts together, we add live group sessions with a Hale coach.
Guiding Essentials
Facilitation skills for athletic breath. How to guide specific parts of a session and bring breathing into the work you already do, in any environment, not only sport.
Athletic Breath course
We go deeper into the Hale concept with the integrated classes and apply breathing through the lens of Breathing Habit Training. Specific programming and the assessments we use for different types of athletes.
Advanced Athletic
Capnography to evaluate players in real time and work with the tool in training. Understand breathing, training and behavior patterns and bring the right program into an athlete's training. Includes an advanced science module.
Read it, test it, program it
Read the breath
Where the breath moves, how an athlete arrives at a session and how fast the breath comes back after an effort.
Build it into training
Breathing in warm ups, zone 2, intervals and down regulation, planned into the sessions you already run.
Make it stick
How to talk about breathing habits and triggers so the change carries over into training, recovery and daily life.
"You're gonna add another layer to your teaching and coaching that can help enhance someone's wellbeing and performance."

Fifteen years as a professional athlete, ten years applying breathing and almost a decade teaching it. The Athletic Breath course is that experience turned into a method other coaches can use with their own athletes.
